Resource Artifact ~ New implementation of Resource Cards ~

    What is resource card?

In short, these cards are sacrifice specialized cards. You gain something aside from purely additional resource if you USE these cards rather than traditional sacrifice.

    Why new resource card concept?

Because original one I suggested requires minor, but some fundamental change in the game mechanics i.e. had to add new card type resource, which is used during sacrifice phase.

    GondorianDotCom's revision suggestion
(Here) was great but had couple major points that weren't quite doing what I wanted to have Resource card do
    1) These card should not be completely superior to the traditional sacrifice i.e. player should still strategically choose using straight sacrifice over resource card at times. The penalty for using resource card was indeed the fact that the player won't gain immediate extra-resource that particular turn.
    2) Resource pile card number should still reflect what actual resource player has in long run. I.e. one turn getting extra or less is ok but permanently having one less card in the pile and assuming you have one more resource than what's in pile seemed just a bit too confusing to me especially with physical play.

But I now have solution to both 1 & 2. All I did is basically changed GondorianDotCom's suggestion just a bit.

    Resource Artifacts
*NOTE: All images were from original resource card rather than new resource artifact.

    (1) If you did not sacrifice a card this turn, draw a card. This card is placed onto the top of the resource pile.

Comment: By making player pay 1 mana essentially, you are NOT gaining additional resource that you would have gotten by simply sacrificing this or other card during the sacrifice phase. Also instead of destroying this artifact and placing into the graveyard, by having it go to the resource pile, the number of cards in the resource pile matches with real number of resource you have.

    (1) If you did not sacrifice a card this turn, gain 1 shadow energy. This card is placed onto the top of the resource pile.

    Alchemist Stone

    Neutral Item - Resource Artifact
    (1) If you did not sacrifice a card this turn, target non-resource type card from your resource pile may be returned to your hand. This card is placed onto the top of the resource pile.

Other resource cards like Crystal, Iron, Gunpowder, and Cobra's Venom can be modified exactly the same way and make them work.

Because I added "resource" in front of Artifact, this allows specific cards to target resource artifacts. Such as "no resource card ability can be played while this card is in play."

Lastly, the same concept can be applied to an ally

    Resource Ally

    Fire Element
    Cost 1
    Shadow Ally - Resource
    Atk: 0 HP: 2
    (1) Target opposing ally received 1 fire damage.
When fire element is destroyed, it goes to resource pile.
